about
This is a song I wrote during Hurricane Sandy about the kindness that people exhibit toward one another in times of tragedy. It's a shame that it takes tragedies like Sandy and the shooting in Connecticut to truly bring people together. I want this song to make a difference, so all the proceeds will be going to Restore The Shore.
lyrics
We all pass each other and don't say a single hello,
And we're quick to judge someone that we all barely know.
In this town of lights and movement we're all just ghosts,
Until one day the lights burn out and all movement slows down.
Can't you see,
We don't know want from need,
We're losing sight,
Of what we need most, keep enemies close,
And push loved ones away.
Can you believe,
It takes such tragedy,
To make us see,
The love that we give is the same we'll receive,
And in the end we're all one family.
The beeping of car horns and cussing you hear on the street,
Has become our town's sick and twisted melody.
We all want to be by ourselves, without company,
But the storm has passed over and that's the one thing we need now.
Can't you see,
We don't know want from need,
We're losing sight,
Of what we need most, keep enemies close,
And push loved ones away.
Can you believe,
It takes such tragedy,
To make us see,
The love that we give is the same we'll receive,
And in the end we're all one family.
Wipe your tears away.
Have hope (have hope)
Have faith (have faith)
Have hope (have hope)
Have faith, we'll make it through someday.
Can't you see,
We don't know want from need,
We're losing sight,
Of what we need most, keep enemies close,
And push loved ones away.
Can you believe,
It takes such tragedy,
To make us see,
The love that we give is the same we'll receive,
And in the end we're all one family.

I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I wrote my first song when I was 7 and taught myself to play guitar at
14. I also play ukulele and dabble on the keys occasionally. I spend all my time either in the studio, performing, or writing songs. I’m working with a great team from BlockStars Production Studios, and three time Grammy nominee, Brenda K Starr, is my dear friend and mentor....more
